How Much Does a Courtroom Cost?

Some things have to be in gear to work and if you are in the wrong gear you will be going either too fast or too slow.

Our county commissioners are planning on going ahead with a plan to remodel the historic court house (cost $300,000.00), build a 14,000 square foot office building (cost $4.1 million plus land), and purchase the Mercy Clinic on Jackson Street for an undisclosed amount (estimate cost $1 million plus).  Total budget $7 million.
This plan is just a band aide which will require more money in the very near future.
Is this a wise use of taxpayers money?

The World

Robert understands we can't change the world.  But we can work on the problems within our own local area.

Predecessors sometimes unwittingly have created circumstances we now must deal with.  As the Presiding Commissioner, Robert will always try to do what is best for the people to keep taxes as low as possible.
By this you will be able to choose what to do with your money, not taxed more because government does not keep within their budget.

Who knows Robert better than his wife?
"There is no one more dedicated to maintaining the freedoms of others than Bob.  Even in small things he works to right wrongs.  I sometimes think, it's not worth it.  But Bob perseveres and in doing so has corrected abuse of local government."

When asked how Bob replied:
"As a citizen it often takes years to be listened to, but as a public official I will listen and see that things are done in the interest of the citizens of the community and not  solely in the interest of government."

The Love of Liberty

Our Founding Fathers gave the ultimate in securing liberty for their posterity.  A selfless act of love to maintain the rights of every human, that they might enjoy freedom to choose.

What will you choose?

If you choose for others (government officials) to take more of your money in taxes, you become a slave to that taxation.  Just as with the t
yranny of a King you work only to pay that tribute for them to live the life they think is best for us.  Often not including themselves in that process, since for some odd reason they think they are above the laws they impose.

Or do you want to maintain and return to those freedoms where you have a say.   Where you maintain as much of your money as possible, free from more taxation?

To return entirely to what the founding fathers  planed will be a slow process but if we work on it continually by electing officials who do not want to tax more but live with in that budget, we as a people are on our way back to those freedoms which made our country great.

Robert will work towards maintaining those freedoms and leaving your money in your pocket.

No matter where you make your nest, it's called home.   Bonnie, Roberts wife, snapped this photo because she loves the ingenious use a bird can see of a common object that we only use for correspondence.

Robert wants to insure the rights of the individual are met, not thru governemnt regulations which are imposed by international standards of building, but by what would be applicable to our area.  This then complete with codes which insure safety in our area where tornado's are prevalent .  Note that international codes make no mention or provisions for tornado's or sinkholes! Both of which are prevalent here.

"Who knows better what we need and what problems exist in our area than we do?  Should we not then hire people from our area and give them the job and responsibility to insure our health and safety!  They understand first hand our needs!"

Placing a conical roof atop a 32 foot tower takes thought.  Robert considered the safest way to accomplish the task and elected to build the structure on the ground and then hoist it into place.

Robert never expects something for nothing.  He is is accustomed to hard work and always elects to use the most efficient safest way to accomplish the task at hand.

These are just a few of the qualities he'll bring to office as Presiding Commissioner.

Because Robert lives in the small community of Olga, he is aware of the needs of the small community.  Yet he has worked with large government as Senior Inspector for Contracts and Administration, Public Works Department in Los Angeles, Ca.  He has also been a business owner for many years and understands the needs of a small business.

He is uniquely qualified to work with and bring all of Christian County together, helping to create a business and family friendly county!

Looking Forward

To foresee the future one must look far ahead.  Robert uses binoculars to get the best view and raises himself to great heights to gain the most advantageous view.  To do this he realizes you must build a strong structure.

In our community to foresee the future and ensure that it will be based on the values we so highly prize, it is important now, to make certain the foundation on which we build from is sure and centered in the freedoms of the individual.

Roberts goal is to initiate this process that our view of the future will be based on those principles we hold dear!

Dozing New Roads

Robert methodically reviews all the alternatives before commencing on a project.  Then he uses the best tools afforded within the budget and begins the backbreaking work of  digging down to the heart of the matter.  This often gets to bedrock, a firm foundation on which to drive further developments.

Think what he can do in the foundation of our local community as Presiding Commissioner when he reviews how things can be dozed and find the bedrock of what we need to keep and what needs to be dozed away with in our own community!
